A camera can be like a dog, an excuse to go for a walk and stretch your legs.
Photography is satisfying, it has an immediate end result which (if good enough) is a pricelss memory and a versatile end product. I've enjoyed playing with cameras over the years and recently started loading photos to istockphoto.com. A few have sold.
Opposite is the first photo loaded, a South African sunset in the bush. It's sold only once. iStock don't want beautiful images as such, they want commericially viable photos.
Opposite is a fir tree in the North of England taken early on a damp winter morning. It's sold a few times. A likeable image, but not commericial.
To the right is a more commercial photo - Emily's legs in a Bangkok Fish Spa. It has sold several times. Nothing special, but I guess used for advertising somewhere...
